The City Not Long After

Hi everyone, I’m new here so I haven’t posted much, just lurking. But has anyone else read the city not long after by Pat Murphy. I just finished listening to it (I have a lovely metro commute thats like an hour each way, I have come to love audiobooks on my ipod). Anyway it was an interesting read. I don’t think it the most well written book and the characters needed a lot of development, but the ideas in the book I don’t think are explored very often. Basically it set in the near future after a virus outbreak has killed a vast majority of the population. San Francisco is a art commune of sorts where invasion is threaten. Its a question of not rather you should fight for the society you build, but how you should conduct a war. Its interesting how the art commune takes their weapons (i.e. doll heads and shiny glass) to fight an army of people with guns. Anyway I think its worth a read!

Welcome aboard!

I have never heard of this book, nor its author, but it does sound interesting.
