The Breakfast Club 8/20 @ 10 PM ET

Wouldn’t it leave like a burn when you eat pizza right out of the oven?

Know what? Me either, come to think of it. Too severe looking

I miss old Allison already.

You know, something just occurred to me:

What music are they dancing to?

This is 1985. Portable stereos weigh 20 pounds. There are no iPods. They don’t have a Walkman or a record player.

We, the audience, hear the awesome soundtrack. They don’t.

she looks beautiful! bow’s too damn big, though

There was a stereo in the room where Brian was, I thot.

 I’m thinking the shock/impact of it exiting the barrel would be quite enough.

You KNOW Bender pawned that earring in a week to buy pot…

yes, see that large round disc he put the long skinny thing on? that was called a record. say it with me now, RE-CORD. we had them back then :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah probably an AV room up there with a state of the art 8-Track player

me neither, she looked better pre-makeover. IMO pretty shallow that she did that for Emilio.

Me neither. Frankly, it goes against the whole point of the movie:

We’re all freaks and weirdos in our way, and others will still accept us, if they only get to know the real us.

Unless you look like a freak on the outside.

I dunno if anyone does. Not anyone with taste anyway =P

Welcome to GWCville

question: what music plays over the end credits? we have dvd and it’s some weird song after Simple Minds. feels wrong. Netflixers? what’s the verdict?

agreed - movie seemed to be trying pretty hard to make that point, and then whips a Grease ending at us… weird…

Yeah but Brian is smarter than that guy. He would have done it right. smirk

Yeah. The popular girl is the hero in the end. She gets Brian to do the paper and makes Allison in her image.

Just like real life?

That was the style. I don’t have a problem with how she looks. Ally Sheedy is beautiful. It’s the whole selling out thing. Then again, teens are fickle and impressionable.

Maybe that’s the point: You can’t fight it, you can only survive it.
