TF3 - No Skids and Mudflap - WooHoo!

Michael Bay has announced that his very own Jar Jar twins won’t be coming back for TF3. Now if he can just give us a webisode showing Megatron tearing them limb from limb, all will be well in the world!

PS, no Transformers forum?

THANK GOD!

Those two really ruined what I thought was an otherwise OK action film. I’m glad that Michael Bay came to his senses on this one.

Those two were further proof that the man has never actually talked to a black person in his life.

Carrying over from a different thread, I didn’t have a problem with them and I’m Black. According to Pike, most of the people making noises were white.

The Twins hate was totally new to me. I don’t get it.

I’m white and I hated them, but not because they were racial stereotypes. As much as they are stereotypes (and I can see why people say that), they are American stereotypes, so I completely missed it on first viewing and only read about it later.

I hated them because they were blood curdlingly annoying and reminded me of Jar Jar.

Yeah, they were annoying above all else to me. It was after the movie when the racial stuff came out, and I agreed with it.

I may be white, but I agree with Paul Mooney on how racist and hypocritical LA can be. Just look at Hollywood’s whitewashing of The Last Airbender, or that horrible Dragonball movie from last year.

My dislike for the twins wasn’t due to any racial stereotypes, it comes from them not being needed. The scenes with twins in them were a waste of screen time that could have been used on more important characters. If the movie needed comic relief they could have had Megan Fox try to do long division. I think Hollywood still is stuck in the mentality that you have to make a sequel bigger and add tons of new characters when all that does is dilute the story and plot.

My likening of them to Jar Jar was actually quite serious. While adults rightly despise him, I am told that he’s very popular with kids and made a lot of money in kids merch.

I’m pretty sure the twins were the same thing, deliberately setup as a ‘fun/zany’ character to appeal to a younger demographic and flog more lunchboxes
