SYFY loses the Doctor.

The last episodes of the Dave Tennant Doctor will be on BBC America and not Syfy.

It’s ok. We still have ECW wrestling, Destination Truth and Ghost Hunters on Syfy…

Good, SyFy doesn’t diserve that greatness.

it’s painful just to type “syfy”.

So glad I have BBCA and am not dependant on those idiots.

And amazing movies like “Bottom Feeder” and that giant Shark vs Giant Squid thing…

I’m so excited to get air dates for the X-Mas and Easter special - I really don’t care what network it’s on. Though I’m kind of pleased that it’s going to be on BBCA - sci fi (I refused to use the “new name”) sucks.

Does it really surprise you. Whatever you call it they don’t have a clue what the H3ll they are doing. And I can’t get BBCA here on my cable system.

Ahhhh, yes! Those movies that are filmed in Eastern Europe are all high-quality fare!

SyFy. Like science fiction, but not.

BBCA doesn’t have an HD counterpart on Dish, so we don’t get it since we have one of their HD-only packages. Craaaaaaaap.

EDIT: just did some googling and found that BBCA will start an HD feed next month. Hopefully this makes it to Dish Network.

No more Doctor Who for me, then. BBC America is a digital cable channel here in Las Vegas. We don’t pay for digital cable here at home.

For those curious about our local channel line-up and why I have trouble making the case for digital cable, the line up is here: http://ww2.cox.com/wcm/en/residential/datasheet/lasvegas/LasVegasChannelLineup.pdf

You can always catch it on DVD. I know for a fact Planet of the Dead will come a week or so after it airs on BBC America.

Don’t you just love those guys?

SciFi : SyFy :: Coke : New Coke

New Skiffy! Same vapid entertainment, with a new Stupid Name!

Both seem to make people wanna puke.

Cool, I’m glad I saw this… I’ll be adjusting my DVR.

They’re pounding on Eureka now. The “new season” of Eureka is actually Season 3.5, it seems. I just had a warning from Amazon that the Season 3.0 disc set would be available at the end of this month.

I seem to remember hearing that future Eureka seasons would be “half” seasons, like they intend to release 10-12 episodes at a time. Bummer.

But to stay on topic, I did find this article with the specific air dates for the BBCA Doctor Who specials, for us yanks.

Wow, I guess I never realized that Syphilis showed Doctor Who! I’ve always watched it (and other great shows) on BBC America! Maybe some of our GWC friends could try it there and not be subjected to the whims of the Syphilis Channel?

And do not forget the ever popular…MANSQUITO!

If I could I would. My cable system here is arse backwards when it come to BBCA. As we will have it NEVER.

This. ^^

Seeing as how I don’t get BBCA, and that other channel has forever lost my business, I don’t feel any remorse in downloading the episodes. Oh well.

Yes and bittorent and demonoid will be good friends with me now.
