[SURPRISE] Buffy Catch-up Megafrak

This episode was set to air the week after Columbine, so all the commentary about shooting up an American high school made this episode particularly in bad taste.

You know, what I think could help Buffy? An aluminum foil skull cap.

Well, they obviously taped it a long time before it happened… but I’m guessing no one would have forgiven them this little coincidence if they had chosen to air it.

of course the ridiculous thing about it is that
the rifle Jonathan’s using is particularly unsuited for suicide
What’s that thing on Larry’s desk? :stuck_out_tongue:

IIRC, it never aired until the reruns on FX. It’s on the DVDs, of course.

It’s fine if you’ve got three-foot-long arms, as I’m sure he does.

Actually, for a very large society with incredibly lax gun laws and plenty of tension in the schools, there are surprisingly few incidents of gun violence in the schools. I think. I might be wrong. It’s just a guess.

“I don’t think about you much at all. Nobody does.”

Way to go with the comforting pep talk, Buffy.

“Because the burden of being beautiful and athletic, that’s a crippler.”

Well, he’s shooting from a perch on top of a tower. When he runs out of bullets, he can just jump.

The Negotiator. Starting Buffy Summers. It’s a really short movie. Everyone dies 7 minutes into the movie.

Yep, hardly any at all…

So, how many times does Buffy have to beat somebody down in full view of the student body before someone begins to suspect, “You know, this girl is way too good at this for just a highschool chick… it’s like she has some kind of superpowers or something.”

Keep watching. Your concerns have been noted and will be handled in the order received.

I’ll rejoin you guys when I get back. Tray? a double-double, animal style?

Well, one must compare these school shootings in comparison the society at large. Is the incidence rate of school shootings proportionally comparable to the incidence rate of shootings in general? I just thought it seems lower.

Oh, please. 3x3. But, yes, animal please!

And we are a go!

Considering that, in general, school shootings involve children dying someplace that society would assume to be safe, I’m sure it seems more heinous in most people’s minds. Plus, the media coverage tends to spark copycat events.

This frak maybe recorded for training purposes.
