Dean was in regular Hell for 4 months (the equivalent of 40 years). Sam’s soul was in the Pit, personally tortured by Satan himself, for over a year (well over a century in human time). There’s no way he’s ever going to get over that. :eek:

In theory, at least, Michael would have had no issue with Sam. He’s technically the good guy, after all.
Then, why would Michael let satan get to Sam?
They’re both archangels, basically evenly matched. Not to mention that Adam was also in there. And Lucifer would have ample opportunity to go after Sam, since he said “yes”.
