Kal-El disguised as Goku

From the doomed planet of Saiya, Goku had a tail and can transform into a giant ape when there’s full moon. During one such full moon, he crushed the human who adopted him and became his grandpa. The tail was once his only weakness. If you grab his tail he’d become powerless. To rid himself of these problems, he plucked out his tail, and blew the moon to smithereens. After a lot of training, Goku can fly, shoot explosive energy balls from every part of his body, has super human strength, came back from the dead. With more training and a lot of anger, Goku can turn into a super Saiyan. In true Japanese spirit, with even more training, he could turn into even more powerful levels of super saiyans. So powerful, he can destroy a planet with one attack if he wanted to.


Kal-El disguised as Clark Kent

From the doomed planet of Krypton, Kal-El, aka Clark Kent, has super strength, can fly, can shoot laser out of his eyes, can even turn back time. His only weakness is Kryptonite.

:slight_smile: All right, I get the point. I do think Goku could kick Superman’s ass. (Though, I’m the only one so far! Interesting.) :slight_smile:

I hate Dragon Ball and its various iterations even more than I dislike Superman. So Superman wins ebcause I dislike him less.

Also he shoots frickin’ lazer beams from his eyes and doesn’t have a “power level” number to spew off every few months.

i miss when Dragon Ball was still loosely referencing the classical Chinese novel Journey to the West (i.e. when Goku was still a little kid).

after some thought i decided to go for Goku… i think he can blast off the yellow sun, and strip superman of his powers…

Not to get too fanboy-ish (too late!) but they are both peace loving men and Goku only fights for the love of the challenge so he probably wouldn’t do that.

I say Superman would win cause he doesn’t need to power up for a minute or two first. (I love both Superman and Dragonball original and Z, but dragonball both fighters would power up for a while before the fight)

The less exciting answer is I think they’d talk it out.

Nah they’d probably play a game of baseball with their various ancillary peeps and Superman would win cause he’s a real american, fight for the rights of every man.

the problem with that is in Superman even the villains aren’t on the same level of Superman… but in Dragon ball, almost all ancillary can blow your planet up… who needs a death star…

Uh…Super Girl, Power Girl, Mon El, Sodam Yat(More powerful actually), Flame Bird/Night Wing, all the Kryptonians on New Krypton, etc, are all on the same power scale.

Villains you got Atlas, Bizarro, Braniac (His brain power makes up for not being physically as strong), Darkseid, Doomsday, Mongul, Parasite, etc.

isn’t Night Wing Superman himself in Kandor? or am i forgetting a version of Night Wing? but i see your point… come to think of it, all those freaking Kryptonians kind of makes Superman’s status of being the last son of Krypton pretty moot…

or does that just mean he was the youngest krypton born babies to survive?

Also hasn’t Goku died like 3 or 4 times to Supes once…and Supes was like just in a coma for a bit.

So it appears less than popular, losing at a rate of 2:1, but I vote Goku over Superman. Mostly because Superman loses big time. He’s totally lame and has bad taste in man-tights.

Night Wing is General Zod’s son who was adopted by Superman. The name comes from what you said.

I think he’s gotta be the last surviving Kryptonian born on Krypton, he was a baby when it blew up. Supergirl was a teenager, Powergirl is from a different universe, Superboy was “born” on Earth. Hm. Superman: Last Son of Krypton is still an apt title.

why are there so many unrelated people using the title of Nightwing? For me Nightwing will always be Dick Grayson…

Well the straight dope is that Superman used it first pre-crisis for when he was toolin about Kandor the bottle city. Then Dick Grayson took it. Now Chris Kent is using it, and it’s also part of the Kryptonian religion/mythology.

Goku…everyone knows that bullets can’t hurt Superman, but he isn’t immune to energy blasts. :smiley:
And, knowing the Dragonaball universe (not saying that any of the main characters, least of all Goku, would do this) but the sun, the source of Superman’s powers, can be blown up. Not to mention, Goku has quite a few ways of increasing his own power, either through transformations or fusions.

Does the absence of a yellow sun take away his powers? I kinda figured he had his powers till a red sun came along.
