Original or Final Cut?
Personally, I have the original DVD sets, but I’ll probably be watching from Netflix, so whatever version they have on there works for me. People without either will probably be viewing via Hulu, so again, whatever version is on there.
Are they really that different?
If the one on Netflix is rated R, then it’s the original one. I’ll check Hulu, but I’d assume it’s the original too.
As far as the differences, no “reproductive organs” line, no reproductive organs shown, no “MacGyver” line (which I was bummed out about). They basically went back to dailies and recut the whole thing. They redid the effects and all of Teal’c’s dialog. This review talks about most of the changes.
4 o’clock in my timezone. Sorry, but I’m out of this rewatch.
I believe the final cut is actually shorter. But, the Final Cut is superior.
Movie is running a little long.
We’ll start at :15 after then for this frak.
hello! I’ll be watching on Hulu
Are we watching Part 1& 2 or just part 1?
How are we handling the break for us Hulu viewers?
I’ll be watching on Netflix which doesn’t break them out into two episodes, so why don’t the Hulu viewers just let us know when you get to the end of part one & we’ll take a short break & let everybody sync up for the second half?
Sounds good to me. The hulu version has the introduction theme on the second episode too btw. So, gotta be mindful of that too.
Works for me.
Or if Hulu is going to give you commercial breaks in the middle of the episodes, we can have pauses, if you let us know when you get to the commericals.
For me, it looked like both breaks were at the start before the show. So, if you start and pause at beginning should be ok.
I’m starting!
It’s moving frakkers!
Anyone see a subtitle or caption option on Hulu?
Frak! 45 seconds of commercials again.
I’m glad they got rid of the shaking. That would have gotten annoying.
