It lookslike they are starting to cast the new show.
The Clone Wars is so putrescent that I can’t say I’m holding much hope this show will be any good.
Wow. I love the Clone Wars. It has some amazing writing and great action scenes. What do you dislike about the show if i may ask???
I don’t know, to me it just isn’t interesting. I could see how a younger person migt like it, but even the action isn’t very good to me.
Im like 30 and i love it. The Lightsaber battle in Cloak of Darkness is one i would put up there in the top 3 lightsaber battles. I don’t know if you have stuck with it or given up early but there are some awesome and rather deep shows
Nah, after two episodes I bailed on it. I’d be more likely to watch it if I could get it in HD, but my Cartoon Network is standard def and looks terrible on my television.
ahh then you missed some great stuff. Check them out on Star Wars.com.
the ones that are stand out amazing shows are:
[ul]

[/li][li]Rookies - and All Clone episode
[/li][li]Cloak of Deception - One of the best lightsaber battles
[/li][li]Downfall of a Droid + Duel of the Droids arch - Shows off some sweet R2 action and some depth to Anakin.
[/li][li]Hidden Enemy - a prequel to the Clone Wars movie. But also a really good Clone episode

That’s not to say the other eps are bad but those are my top 5. Even the Jar Jar episodes are ok (but they changed his voice and it is kinda weird to hear him talk) because they kinda make fun of him.
The current arch is looking to be really awesome as well and it seems to be setting up a “Big Bad” for next season.
The Clone Wars are on TNT HD now as of a couple of weeks ago and it looks amazing. So much better than standard def. Give it a shot.
I’ll definitely try it that way, then. There’s really a dearth of quality television (especially once BSG waves goodbye) out there so if you guys think it’s real good and I can watch it in HD maybe I’ll give it another shot.
One thing though, avoid the Jar-Jar episodes. It was almost OK that his fist appearance was voiced by Ahmed Best but they have a new voice for Jar-Jar that doesn’t even sound remotely close. Even the most ardent Jar-Jar hater could have done a better impression than the voice actor that is now playing him. The wierd thing is that no one seems to know who this BJ Hughs guy is. They’ve been trying to figure out this mystery over at the Force Cast and they even have t-shirts for it now.
Actually the Jar Jar episodes actually made me appreciate him more. Being able to see that the people in the Star wars world think of him as a bumbling idiot as well makes me happy.
I loved the Gungan General episode where Jar Jar was going to confront the Tanks and the Clone leader told his crew to let him do his thing. he has a way of doing weird things.
I have to admit, I thought Jar Jar running around in a hazmat suit with his eyestalks all squished up was hilarious. The Forcecast had a very interesting interview with Kevin Rubio, the guy who wrote the first Jar Jar episode, “The Gungan General” (as well as TROOPS, some of my favorite SW: Tales short comics and the Tag and Bink series), that makes a rewatch much more bearable. Also, WHO THE FRAK IS BJ HUGHES?!
Personally, I’m loving this show. Friday night involves me being glued to the TV for three hours: Terminator, Clone Wars/second half of Dollhouse, and BSG. I also have to add “Ambush” in for best episode consideration, just because it’s Yoda being awesome. Come on, who doesn’t love Yoda?
define “Younger person” I’m 34 (soon 35) and I enjoy the CW. I’m not a big fan of the animation style but the story telling is decent (aside from the, comic relief battle droids).
