Eco friendly plastic and metal… He was light side at the end.
Yay! Happy celebratory feast!
Yum! Say, what kind of meat is this?
Yeah, I feel robbed. Curse you Lucas!!
I refuse to watch it. I’m all theatrical.
Awe, no comments? I’ve been sitting on that for over an hour! d:
“I will become more powerful than you could possibly imagine.”
But my ghost won’t be young like this frakker over here.
Tomorrow: the first Star Wars movie I saw for the first time in a movie theater.
I don’t mind many of the changes, plus it has 5.1 sounds and better effects. But, the Vader ghost change irks me.
My daughters are cracking up about Stormtrooper meat.
Not even the Special Editions?
Aren’t they bringing all 6 back in the theater again?
I fell in love with the originals. Why Lucas feels the need to constantly tinker with them is beyond me. I won’t be a part of it.
It’s part of this nutritious breakfast, too.
They fell off the couch laughing at that.
Seeing rectangles around ships always took me out of the movie. For some reason, my attention was drawn to them when I was young. Was too jarring.
I don’t have a problem with the tinkering. It’s the not releasing the originals cleaned up and stuff. It’s a disservice.
I grew up watching old school Doctor Who. There were monsters made of bubble wrap and dryer vents. A little imagination goes a long way.
In any case, if just updating the special effects was all he was doing, I’d be OK with that. But why significantly alter events, remove beloved scenes, or add scenes that didn’t make the cut the first time around?
You’ll love the new Blu-ray release later this year then. d:
It’s so 1984. He just wants versions that don’t fit his current vision to disappear like they never existed.
It’s not Star Wars, but closely related. How about this one?
I don’t know this for a fact. In fact, it is totally in my own mind. But I believe Lucas removed all the people that said, “George, that’s not a good idea.” and surrounded himself with yes-folks.
