Ah, Chakotay
It’s a bit problematic to me that they’re talking about Chakotay as if he were a museum subject. Not like that has any resonance with the way Native Americans and other indigenous peoples of not-Europe have been treated…
This is the third episode in a row wherein a Voyager shuttlecraft is lost. In “The Gift”, a shuttle is lost when Kes evolves; in “Day of Honor”, the Cochrane is destroyed by the Caatati; and here, Chakotay loses a third.
They’re dropping like flies… I, for one, would not step into one of those shuttle crafts given those recent odds
nullification is also a problematic euphemism.
Ah, there’s the rest of Voyager
Propaganda! Mind control! Indoctrination! oh my!
And there we have the moral of the story - easier to start hating than to stop.
Next week: Season 6 DS9! WOOHOO!
