“Mr. Neelix, just because a man changes his drink order, doesn’t mean he’s possessed by an alien.”
Chakotay is not on a roll in these episodes.
“get away from being a Captain for awhile” I approve of the gesture towards work/life balance
Unlike the Beowulf ness of the holonovel last episode, I’m annoyed by the lack of literary specificity in Janeway’s entertainment.
they went after Chakotay’s BRAAAAAINS… are they alien zombies?
The Doctor’s skepticism is a great contrast to B’Elanna’s attempt to honor Chakotay’s wishes vis-a-vis his heritage and spiritual beliefs.
Neelix’s back. And with that horrid hat.
I’m pleased that Janeway only wore her hair like this for two episodes. I’m not a fan, even if Seven wore a version of this 'do later in the series.
“irritating lapses into nostalgia”
bwahahaha
Last episode, the aliens just kidnapped people. Now, they take over their brains. These aliens, I tell ya.
The holonovel’s final permutation in this episode seems to borrow elements from Charlotte Brontë’s Jane Eyre, Daphne du Maurier’s Rebecca, and Henry James’ The Turn of the Screw.
But not a single one!
That jerky hirer of governesses did seem a bit like early Rochester.
occupied. cathexis. hehehe
Kes and Neelix. GAH.
The lighting in this scene between Tuvok and Janeway is good for building suspense
This episode is fairly convoluted, isn’t it.
