Star Trek: Voyager 1x01-2 Caretaker

Good Tuvok. Give us all this exposition while you walk and talk.

Yeah. Too bad they only saw the standard network episodic format as the way to go.

The underground Ocampa city was filmed at the Los Angeles Convention Center

I knew it looked vaguely familiar

he’s a Vulcan - he’s efficient.

WWJTKD?

Kill the god-like Caretaker. Have Spock realign the array to send Voyager back to the Alpha Quadrant before breakfast.

I don’t think I can beat that.

…cept Kirk would probably make out with a hot Ocompa chick.

When the scaffold broke, I just had a flash of…err…tear…Kirk’s…cough…death.

Excuse me. I have something in my eye.

longer than that Spock=Data=Odo=Seven/The Doctor=T’Pol

Evasive pattern delta 4, has always been my favorite phaser pattern.

well… the Caretaker is gone at the end of the episode.

Every time he says Indian I scowl. It’s Native American!!

Hang in there buddy. Staircases are evil menaces. I hate them

The new term is Native Peoples.

In the end, the Caretaker is really all about sex

indigenous people works too

Or Injuns.

Actually today it depends. For a discussion (wikipedia, I know) of different alternatives see here.

That said, the way Tom uses the term makes it sound derogatory. Which sucks. Because did I mention Paris is an asshat? yeah, he is. A close-minded asshat.

Didn’t think about it before, but Chakotay probably killed a lot of Kazon right there.

oh, the Prime Directive. That got shot to hell as soon as the Caretaker brought them there.

Amen. They never came close to the Kirk/Spock/McCoy dynamic though. That would be my number one relationship in Star Trek followed by

  1. Data and Geordi
  2. Bashir and Garak
  3. Dukat and Kira
  4. The Doctor and Seven
  5. Trip and T’Pol
