Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country 4/10 @ 10 PM ET

All this has happened before…

Peter Pan again

Even the Tart Trainees HiveMind it!

Apparently the makeup artist painted the Klingon insignia on each rivet of his eyepatch “just for fun”. It was never meant to be seen, but I wonder if it is on a big HDTV.

I’m really glad this movie happened. It would have been a shame if the TOS characters ended their run with STV.

Yes, me too. It said to me that this was the last time.

It was.

It’s not. It was always stated that Uhura was Swahili for Freedom. It’s not. Uhuru is.

Yup. A pretty idiotic one, considering millions of people had know how to spell her name for decades.

That was awesome, folks! I can’t believe I waited so long to watch these and the SW movies (which I only watched because of GWC as well)! I will never again question the Hive Mind!

Dang Thot! I thot you only read Talos’ mind. It’s so good that they planned this to be the last one with TOS crew. It is a superior sendoff for a fantastic crew.

That may be, but the character’s name is still Uhura. :stuck_out_tongue:

Nite all, it was fun.

Good night, NBtR!

Dare we consult Memory Alpha on this.

Hmmm it just says:
In the credits at the end of the movie, Uhura is spelled “Uhuru.”

But Uhura’s wikipedia says:

Uhura" comes from the Swahili word uhuru, which means “freedom”. Nichols states in her book Beyond Uhura that the name was inspired by the fact that she had with her a copy of the book Black Uhuru on the day she read for the part.

No verdict. Oh well.

Good night!

Yeah, I’m liking this movie even more after watching V last night.
I don’t mean to hate on V, but you really see the contrast watching 'em back to back.

Cool. Well, I guess it’s a good thing that Al Gore invented the Internets (which is made of pipes and tubes)

I just hit “play” on the director/writer commentary for this movie. Nicolas Meyer has a very so…dull maner of speakin’ (good writer though).

Well, guys, I should hit the sack as well. Gotta be up early to travel home for Easter. Thanks for “making” me even more of a geek than I already was!

As I’m watching the movie in halves…

Ooh which movement? Mars? That’s one of my favorite pieces.

Most agreed. The foreheads here are um odd.

And he’ll put his foot in your sorryBarb if he wants!

!!!

I wondered when I saw his name in the credits.
