Probably because those scenes weren’t in the theatrical release. I should know, I saw it 12 times in the theatre. They were put into the DVD.

One thing I don’t remember were the conspirators’ appearances during Valaris’ mind rape scene.
In the original they just mention that the snipers blood is not Klingon, and I believe they leave it at that.
