I guess I’m not the only one who missed out on this one in its originally scheduled time.
I love the premise. Picard and the archaeology and Data experiencing the lives of an entire civilization… the importance of symbolism reminds me a bit of Darmok, which is another episode I really like. So yeah, I like this episode, even though I read that the writing staff wasn’t pleased with it. Is it perfect? No. But it doesn’t mean the ideas it deals with are really cool.
So… “primitive.” I love that Picard corrects Riker, “deceptively primitive” muwahaha
Yeah, I always enjoyed this one. I should watch it again sometime soon. Sorry to have missed it.
