I like the way B5 handled this better. The episode where the alien device tried to get the B5 crew to give up their tech secrets.
lol, “Bach, Monet, Wonder” I forgot about that
OOoooooo, Rick Berman wrote this. Now it all makes sense.
I never caught that. Nicely done.
“I know, we’ll laser pewpew the crap out of your planet! That’ll fix it!”
How do you mean?
“You’ve given us what we need. Time.”
Thank you, Al Gore.
Ha! That was great.
“It was indescribeable”
Picard: ::I f#*king hate you stare::
It’s already the fifth season. We’ve had ample examples of them being way too trusting.
Of course, that device was going to kill them.
Bluntly. It makes no sense.
Rasputin (yeah, I’m calling him Rasputin) has an almost Q-like impishness about him.
And like Q, he’s sort of unstoppable because he’s from the future (he claims) and the crew thinks that gives him some sort of superiority.
Wesley would figure this dude out.
“‘Picard’s empath’?”
Would you prefer “Troi, destroyer of starships”?
Shut up, Wesley.
Damn, this guy wants to “influence” her.
Perhaps a little “nasty in the past-y”
Yeah. When I saw his writing credit in the opening credits I began to worry. Better to have someone from the actual writing staff write it.
Would be more accurate.
Shut Up Wesley (Come on, I had to say that)
“…great-great-great-great-grandmother.”
Pulling a Fry, trying to do the nasty in the past-y!
Also…
Michael Piller remarked, “Nobody ever just hands in a script – not me, not even Rick. It was a delightful change of pace and tone from the grimness and darkness of the Spock episode. It was just at the right time. Rick and I and the staff worked long and hard with him on the script and he had a lot of challenges to overcome. That fourth act where Picard and Ramussen have a one scene act is wonderful and I enjoyed that a lot.”
The last act is the best.
