Question: start time = :00 hour or :15 hour?

What was the reasoning behind the 15 after thing anyway?
People are invariably delayed.
We started on time at first, then gradually pushed the time back to accomodate stragglers, until we firmly settled on 15 minutes after the stated start time. Eventually, new people started joining us, some being aware of the delayed start time, some not, and it basically just got to be too confusing for everyone involved. It just seemed more logical and intuitive to start when we said we would.

Many moons ago, frak parties would start and stragglers would wander in and we would wind up having to restart whatever we were watching. So a tradition started where you would show up at a frak party (like any party), introduce yourself, get ready (get a drink/food, queue up the movie), and then party @ :15 after the posted time.
This worked for a long time. Now, it’s become a bit of a nuisance. Folks show up early and are ready to go but because of “tradition” we would wait until :15. So, “we” decided to fore go the tradition and start on time.
Hope that clears it up.

Besides, we’re still flexible. If a group shows up late. Folks usually pause or whutever so we’re all in sync.
The party doesn’t start until I show up and take my pants off.
