Love Toral’s squeaking voice. So appropriate. He’s sooooo scared right now.
Great delivery from Sir Patrick Stewart there
That’s because you’ve been concentrating on 4-minutes-into-the-future technology heretofore.
A bit of boob armor and some shoulder-ma-pads should cover that up nicely.
Glorious!
aagghh crazy Gowron eyes!
Best. Season. Opener.
“The Duras family will one day rule the Empire!”
“Perhaps. But not today.”
“But it is our way, the Klingon way.
I know, but it is not my way.”
<3 Worf!
How else would you stab her? A piercing gaze?
Oh! I totally forgot this was the start of new season. Good one.
This is one of my favorite TNG episodes. love love love!
Also - so satisfying after the discommendation and such (Sins of the Father, Reunion, etc)
ETA: actually, one of my favorite all-Trek episodes
A bat’leth should break through her ribs nicely
WWJTKD?
The Duras sisters would try to seduce Kirk and he would turn the tables on them. They would fight over him in a all-out hot oil Klingon death match. Everyone would ask, “What Civil War?”
Why were they so eager to kill the kid? Wouldn’t it be better to let him live to a ripe old age and die without honor?
Interesting. What is it that you love about these Klingon episodes?
For me, I enjoy them, but not in my tip top fav list.
The next one, Darmok, is totally more my cup o tea.
…
I’ll stay with this version of events.
I just really like Worf, and the way he negotiates being Klingon but also being part of the Federation, and the idea of honor (its demands remind me of renaissance and baroque Spain), and the presentation of a society based upon conflict that is so different from my own.
Not to say that I don’t enjoy what we might consider more contemplative episodes (like Darmok), but there’s something about the Klingons (and Vulcans, particularly in Enterprise) that speaks to me.
WWJTKD?
First it he would …damn… after reading yours, I think I need to go to my bunk for moment. …
… Okay, I’m back.
Kirk would ally with the Romulans, and together destroy all the Klingons, and through Worf in the brig.
Then he and Spock would steal the cloaking device from the Romulan’s …AGAIN …and live happily ever after.
Agreed, except for the flat net in space. That’s just stupid.
Granted.
Thot and Badger, on the forum! His arms wide!
