Star Trek: The Motion Picture Frak Party 3/26 @ 10 PM ET

If you’re watching the director’s cut, you finally get to see what V’Ger looks like. In the 80’s it was just a blinking light.

Sorry folks. I had to go offline for bit, but I’m back.
XO called from Calif. She’ll be boarding her viper and returning home tommorrow.

Serious. “Can I interest you in the Church of Sean?”

V’Ger is a Star of David?

Kirk using his typical befuddle the super-computer technique.

Godslayer.

'nuff said.

“What does God need with a Starship?”

Chekov has replaced Sulu as the timepiece for the Enterprise.

I can hear Smokey Robinson now.

“The Tears of a Vulcan”

Those are all great stories. For my part, I can’t say I could ever get anyone in my family interested in Star Trek or any other Sci Fi. There’s lots of shows my dad and I enjoyed watching together. But my “Space-y stuff” as they’ called it was never much respected by other family members. Luckily I made plenty of friends who like that kinda stuff.

Nothing, once James T. Kirk is done with Him.

Kirk could always talk any computer to go blue-screen-of-death

I do like this VOYAGER reveal here.

Wow, I’d forgotten about the bridge to the Enterprise from V’Ger. That was pretty neat.

Uhura saves the day. Send “Whale Song”!!! Oh. Save that for later.

I suddenly have a strong desire to watch the TOS ep “The Changeling”

The Creator must join with V’Ger (IYKWIM)

Wasn’t there supposed to be some relationship between V’Ger and the Borg in some of the EU stuff?

This whole movie was kind of a rehash of the Nomad storyline, too…

I have a theory about the origin of the Borg. Three words: G…W…C. ::smiley:

That’s what I meant before by “V’Ger home planet”. In the EU, that is the Borg planet. I believe it was in one of the Shatner Odyssey books.
