“It’s life, Captain, but not life as we know it.”

Any Thot’s about which version? Director’s Cut?

Your call. I imagine that those of us who actually have the movie have the Director’s Cut.

Topgun? 'talos? D? What do y’all think?

Eek. I actually don’t know which version I have. I mean, I’ve seen the Director’s cut, but I don’t know which version I own. But regardless, I can get a hold of the D.C. version easily.

Yeah. Director’s Cut with CGI goodness. Weird how I’ll watch the CGI’d Star Trek but Original Star Wars. That says something. Whut? I don’t know.

Done. Director’s cut it is. Downloading from Amazon Unbox now.

I’d forgotten how stunning Ilia is.
Not many can carry off a bald head and look beautiful.

… so after attending the meetup last weekend, I’d like to actually take part in this group watch, forum, man-ape-gone wrong thing… whatever it is. Can someone help a sister out? Do we all start watching at the same time? Should I have watched it already? Special downloads required…??

Usually it starts at the announced time, with various people saying they aren’t ready. And then fifteen minutes or so later everyone hits “Play.”

Ah, so it’s just like my meetings at work…

Thanks Pike!

That’s called tradition.

Frenchie, we usually start at :15 past the hour.

I believe I’ve mentioned this elsewhere but it can’t hurt to say again.

In the novel, the opening sequence we see in the film is a transmission Admiral Kirk receives via an implant in his brain. All Starfleet Admiral’s were required to have them.

BTW, Are we gonna FF’d the musical prologue? I don’t mind if we don’t. Gets me in the mood.

Yeah, let’s keep things in synch and not Fast Forward. (That’s my opinion anyway).

Well, it’s just starting at Chapter 2 instead on 1 on the DVD. But you’re right I don’t know how everyone is viewing.

I’ve been waatching stars go by for like. 2 minutes now am I ahead of people

…Now the Paramount logo? What the frak

Brilliant. That is so going into the FAQ.

There are exactly three minutes of stars… I know cause I’ve watch the intro four times now… I’m the newbie, remember…

I downloaded (rented) it from Amazon UnBox. I may have a DVD in my basement somewhere, but my DVD skips and freezes more than I like.

Watching the second intro now. First time watching this movie
