Star Trek: The Animated Series, Disc 1

MemoryAlpha again:

In this story, Spock’s pet sehlat, I-Chaya, was mortally wounded, and the seven-year-old Spock decided to have him euthanized rather than continue to live in pain. NBC executives wanted the ending changed, but D.C. Fontana refused, and Gene Roddenberry supported the decision.

That is amazing. Fact is indeed stranger than fiction.

Huh, this scene was almost exactly like the new movie, except, of course, that Spock kicked sorryBarb.

The super smart Vulcans easly buy the I’m a distant relative story. They can’t use a cell phone to call and check…

This is just like what happened in ‘Star Trek XI’

Huh. That explains a lot, although one has to wonder why no one else ever noticed.

Interesting, if disturbing.

Oh, and spoiler alert!

Vulcans don’t lie. It was… an error.

Can you believe that the child’s dialogue is from his audition tape? He never studio recorded.

Father, why do I have to run around in my underwear?

Vulcan is a groovy looking planet.

Run Spock! Godzilla is coming!

I-Chaya, too old and fat. I reach.

bwhahahaha!!!

“I dare say you will.”

Cartoon Spock breaks the fourth wall.

Wow, this is pretty hardcore for a cartoon.

Vulcan is reminding me of Australia. So many dangerous things lying around.

The healer showing up in a pink ride is making me giggle. I don’t know why. I was waiting for a camp character to jump outta the car.

I need to go kick some Vulcan bully butts, Father.

He’s already broken the fourth dimension, so it’s fitting, isn’t it?

Even the cute, fuzzy ones are dangerous.

I’m doing the Audra hand’s dance to the opening credits.
