Check out this Trek fanfilm, “Star Trek Phoenix.” It’s probably the slickest-looking one I’ve seen. It’s set a few decades after the events of “Nemesis” in the original timeline.

I watched this last night. Really impressed. Kinda almost-BSG grittiness to the tone, though perhaps that’s an exaggeration.
Like the characters. Romulans look great.
Uniforms are a cool and a wise choice. Rather then try to copy “official uniforms” good idea in fan film to make your own — that way not it doesn’t look “off” when you’re trying to copy TV show/movie uniforms, which is hard.
Like the Brit doctor character. Like the transporter effect and the phaser blasts.
Space computer graphics not as good as Star Trek Phase II, but still artfully done.
The idea of not showing the ship’s bridge was an oddly intriguing choice.
In the story it’s under repair, but when in a later episode they do show the bridge it will seem all the more dramatic.
Enjoyed it overall and looking forward to more.
The only other fan made Star Trek that I’ve watched extensively is Star Trek Phase II. It’s hard to compare that to this, because it’s Apples and Oranges.
That was really frakkin good. Thanks for sharing Pike.
What I liked.
I did have a hard time figuring out who was who, their rank, position, etc. Their website was great with filling in the blanks. I am looking forward to seeing more.
We should frak party this.
This Wednesday at 10?
Nine would work better for me, but I could probably pull off ten.
9 works for me too. Thot? 'talos?
9 should work for me. Hope to see y’all then.
Thanks for thinking of me, but I’ll be tied up this whole week.
So warp speed without me. I’m looking forward to reading you’re real-time frak thots on it.
Frak party tonight? (3/2)? Or have I missed this already…
