Now see that is something I didn’t know, granted I don’t know a lot about the whole universe anyway…
I have only seen Khan, and then the Next Gen movies.

In the Countdown Comic Books for the new movie, Data/B4 is Captain of the Enterprise.
I had a similar experience. A week ago, a friend and mentor co-worker of mine was laid off. I’m still not use to not having him around.
Really? Interesting.
Well, IMO, you need to have epic events happen when Trek is in a movie format.
So Data dying was a good addition to the plot I think.
Why do I not remember this part (the end with the not-Data with Picard)
It really has been awhile since I have seen this movie
Good music at the ending.
It was moving. I kind of teared up when Data said goodbye.
Old Timer won’t admit it, but I’m sure Old Timer is Jonathan Frakes.
I do love the music, it stands out when it needs to and is understated and holds up the story when it needs to.
Because you have to find something new in the movie each time you see it.
I have to admit, though, that this definitely had a “farewell voyage” feeling to it, though I can’t put my finger on why.
Needed to post something - just to get away from a very scary post count number. So from Dragon*Con 2007:
I recommend checking it out. Not sure if they are in bookstores cuz then I would just say, take an afternoon and read 'em there. I downloaded. There’s a thread about them somewhere around here.
Because there were lots of goodbyes.
I remember Patrick Stewart being interviewed at the time, and he adamantly denied that this was the Final movie.
But I think everyone had the sense the the Trek movie franchise was ready to call it quits.
I need to go to a con with you. You get so close to the actors. Next time Shatner is in the area, I’m going!
I’ll check 'em out. Thanks.
And some BSG and Trek together, sort of:
Aaron switched name tags with Jonathon Frakes after a bit of a fanboy moment (Aaron is a huge Frakes, and I think Trek fan)
And Mark with Brent:
Yeah right. As if I’d ever let Shat out from his imprisonment in my basement.
