I gotta think this has been posted on the Forum before, so I apologiize if so.
Just ran across this, and it be damn funny. Not Safe for Work cuz of profanity and whatnot.
who ever made this has mad skills.
I prefer this trailer, to be honest.
I’m with you. I ain’t hating on the movie, but I 'm getting a bad feeling that I’m gonna be wincing a lot during it thinking to myself “No no, don’t do that…”
Ok…show of hands, who would rather see a Star Trek re-imagined by Judd Apatow (director of 40 Year Old Virgin, Superbad, Talladega Nights and Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy e.g.)
I would so be there. This made me howl with laughter.
(raises hand). OMGs, that’s gotta happen.
You almost can’t mock Star Trek itself because that’s been done and done and done. But you sure could mock JJ Abrams’s “We’re the cool kids” interpretation of Star Trek.
Working title: “NCC-90210”
Best parts
Sam Jackson as Uhura
Picard as Balok
Oh craaaap at the end with Walken as the Balok puppet! HHHAAA!!
And yes…
The Gorn is a smelly pirate hooker
Ok, that was funny.
As long as Seth Rogan doesn’t write or star in it, I’ll be there. Apatow = funny. Rogan = misogynistic. I, too, was howling. It was awesome.
It’s like he didn’t get the Zap Brannigan joke, isn’t it? Something just feels a little off. Ah well, I’ll see it and give it an honest chance.
I love the smelly pirate hooker line. My brother and I used to refer to each other as smelly pirate hookers but it upset my mom so much that we stopped.
Well, I already can see it’s got a lot of action, pretty pictures, explosions, Sylar from Heroes and a half-naked sexy Uhura.
So it’s gonna be worth watching whether is offends my Trek sensibilities or not.
