can anyone recommend a good star trek game for the mac? free is better than not… yea.
There was a FPS that used the quake4 engine that was very good called Elite Force. It also had a sequel. I know they were on the PC first but I think they may have been ported to the mac. Stay away at all cost Dominion Wars. That was one of the most buggy pieces of CR@P I have ever played.

Not to be confused with Net Trek from the 90s (which was fantastic too), Net Trek is a cross-platform ship fighting game. Free clients, you play online, and it’s good for some simple twitchy fun with phasers. But be careful with those high energy weapons, you’ll put your eye out!
It’s 21 years old, btw. Started in 1988 and continued to grow since.

I am fairly certain that the upcoming “Star Trek Online” will be Mac compatible
Hmm, I’d heard it would be PC only, at least at the start. Wouldn’t make much sense though, considering how many Mac users love their Warcraft.
Worst case scenario, just dual boot your mac and put xp or something on it.

It’s got great system management, turn by turn, you use english commands. It’s originally from the 80s, but it’s been recently re-written to bog down modern Windows systems too!
