That beat with Odo and Kira chit chatting is lovely
Cardassian Codes? To Garak!
Ziyal! I am always glad to see her.
A planetary survey report. And Garak, giving up? I suspect Ziyal’s read is good.
oh, Garak.
and oh, Julian. You have so misread the Garak/Tain relationship!
Dax and Worf, it’s been so long since we’ve had some quality time with them.
Love them!
“You are capable of anything” hahaha
Worf’s love for his operas is adorable.
Aw a lovely tender moment between Garak and Ziyal.
Uh oh, Dukat’s playing the jerkface father
At the first sign of betrayal I will kill him.
I hope that’s a joke.
We’ll see.
I LOVE WORF SO MUCH OMG SO AWESOME.
And now Garak wants Worf to write him a rec for the Starfleet Academy? Also awesome.
I find it interesting that Dukat is fine with Ziyal being exposed to Bajoran traditions since it’s part of her heritage yet he hates Garak so much that the exposure she might have, through him, to Cardassian culture, is terrible (according to Dukat).
“You use that word but you have no idea what it means”
And now the Dominion War becomes the DOMINION WAR muwahahaha
Martok!
This episode really is key to what happens in the rest of the show. Also, part of why I love it.
Enemies to fight and hope of escape! BAM! Enabran Tain!
I want you to say thank you, Elim. Your loyalty is most gratifying, I knew I could count on you.
Dude, Enabran is such a jerk to Elim.
It is up to us to be clever.
BASHIR!
Tain and Bashir are back with their chats! For real this time
All your enemies are dead.
Wow, what Enabran did to his son. Wow.
Nice reaction shot from Bashir.
That was a great beat.
Meanwhile, back on DS9…
Well that is ominous. Hence the “shadow” of the title.
