“It’s not about profit anymore, it’s about respect. You see the
way they look at me now. I’m not just some venal Ferengi
trying to take their money. I’m Quark, slayer of Klingons!”
I’m not going to have time to catch up on both of last week’s episode, but here goes…
I love Quark’s snark about going into insurance… fewer scruples, indeed!
Such a theatrical retelling of the “self-defense” scene
And now Quark, Slayer of Klingons, has a title of his own
“I’ve struck a blow for Ferengi everywhere”
I like how Rom is much more realistic about how the Klingons could react.
A Klingon episode? Yes, of course it’s written by Ron D Moore
I know most people around here hate Keiko but I love the moments with her and Miles.
I’ve got to get S to start celebrating “I’m married to the best woman in the galaxy day”
Grilka! Huzzah!
“So you lied to the station security chief, to your customers, and to D’Ghor. You must be quite a liar.”
“It’s a gift.”
Hehehe
“There’s nothing harder than knowing the person you love is unhappy” Amen, brother.
“Enter, Husband!” oh so fun
Quark, an equal relationship? Only if he is the one in the subordinate position. grrr.
And now, for Quark’s accounting abilities to come in handy!
They don’t deign to deal with finance, yet they keep financial records? Huh. Oh, Klingons.
Bashir has surprising insight into relationships here.
“Until she can be a botanist again, I’m not sure she’s ever going to really be happy”
Keen insight. I’ve had a lot of conversations lately about the relationship between self esteem and one’s profession
“He’s been systematically attacking your family’s assets for at least five year”
Yup, he’s acting like a Ferengi!
I love Quark’s evidence, showing them all of the paperwork. Awesome. So Quark-y.
“all you have in there is a piece of latinum, and a pretty small piece at that.”
Ouch, Grilka. His lobes are insulted.
D’ghor, son of… whatever
Shining moment for Quark
It’s nice to see that happen to someone that’s not Worf for a change
Special circumstances, indeed!
and Rom called Quark “magnificent”! aw sweet
you can’t buy respect, brother, and that’s what you have now, respect
This is one of my favorite episodes, and I’m not a huge fan of Quark’s. Solid original story.
