Star Trek: Deep Space Nine 2x24 The Collaborator

“Perfect. Not only is it illegal, it’s sacrilegious.”

Just to get this out there at the start:

Vedek (soon to be Kai) Winn’s rhetorical manipulation and political machinations are sadly still familiar in 2012.

:frowning:

Found this online a few minutes ago.

Looks much better than Vedek Winn’s “if you do X the Prophets will love you!” manipulative theology. (i prefer Bareil’s reply that the Prophets love unconditionally. harumph).

Sadly I’ve got to bow out for the evening. I wanted to be snarky about Winn (she really is a terrible terrible person in the end, isn’t she), but it will have to wait for another time.

Familiar? Except for the earrings, it’s almost identical. :frowning:

AKA The Prophets exist outside of time and space and are probably only peripherally aware of the political machinations of Bajor, if at all.

Aw. :frowning:

Time check?

Waiting on you to start. Pressing play at 11:10.

Oh. Sorry about that. :o

“No it’s not. It’s you.”

NOOOOOOOO!!!

Wait. What?

Tonight is a one-two punch of sexy Kira scenes.

And Bariel shirtlessness.

Although it’s sort of like seeing the pope naked.

“Just what are you trying to infer, my child?”

Imply, not infer. WTF?

“I decided it was time to come home.”
“Welcome back. You’re under arrest.”

“Kai Opaka?”

ZOMBIE!!!

Vedeks: Let’s stare at the Orbs all day.

Prophets: Let’s screw with the Vedeks.

Clearly that’s the Orb of Mocking.

Could he be wearing any more sweaters?

That had to be intentional.
