Both producer Ira Steven Behr and director Corey Allen were disappointed with the final form of this episode. Behr felt that the show wavers unevenly between depicting the colony both in a good and a bad light, but never really settles for either view.

Huh. I thot that was the point of the episode. Oh well.

I couldn’t remember by the name of the episode, but now that I see this, this is for sure one of my top 10 TNG episodes (I think…there are so many).
