“You have no idea what it’s like to be a coward. To see these horrors and do nothing.”

So excited!

Tricorders don’t do dead people?

Julian is a necromancer!

I’ve been waiting for this re-watch for weeks (with the attendant disappointment each week when it wasn’t “Duet” week yet). This is one of my top-3, maybe even the favorite episode

“Make… me… live…!”

Creepiest last words, ever.

Me too. This is an awesome episode

It may not be legal, but I’m right.

Oh, Kira. See the shades of grey…

Iced raktajino?

Why is it steaming?

Kira doesn’t like grey. It washes her out

It’s REALLY cold

“If you want my opinion…”
“Actually, I don’t.”

a masterpiece of meticulous exactitude.

oh, Marritza.

D’oh! I’m watching the wrong episode!

In case we didn’t pick up on this ourselves

The intent of the episode was to establish the Cardassian Occupation of Bajor as a metaphor for Japanese and German imperialism circa World War II. (Captains’ Logs Supplemental - The Unauthorized Guide to the New Trek Voyages)

I’ll be honest my mind jumped to more recent authoritarianism/imperialism, but the metaphor isn’t limited.

Which episode are you watching?

smh… and here I’m blathering about how much I love Duet

“This Bajoran obsession with alleged Cardassian improprieties during the occupation is really quite distasteful.”
“I suppose if you’re Bajoran, so was the occupation.”

Justice or vengeance. This is a great interplay between Kira and Dax

“…vengeance isn’t enough.”

It’s better when served cold, of course.

I don’t think Kira can do anything cold.

(but I really like Dax’s line)

1x09 instead of 1x19.
