Star Trek: Deep Space Nine 1x09 The Passenger

giggle

I can’t stay away.

Hooray!

Hmm… I haven’t got to that part of the recent podcast yet.
I’m at the movie car guy part.

“I resent the inference!”

That’s you’re problem. You should worry more about the implication.

Yeah, I think I’ll be OK channelling Sisko’s voice for FSL

Ah yeah they have a discussion at the end about… memory! (I have much to say and think about it, lol)

No! That’s un-possible!

Waste reclamation? Non-essential? On a space station? Au contraire!

Maybe it’s the reclamation part of it that’s non-essential… did they not see the life-cycle of an aluminum can??

Those are some Wesley level sweaters. ew.

tractor beams are surprisingly violent, for things that are supposed to keep things in place.

I was thinking more like that sewage from thousands of people piling up.

Only when those things are trying to get away.

“no more middlemen” (I almost expected a no more mr nice guy lol)

Wow, Siddig’s really pulling out the high school play acting for this character.

Eh I just read it as crazy brain invader dude’s mannerisms dealing with humans

My Star Trek viewing history:

TOS: Saw it on TV (in reruns) as a little kid (7 or 8 – 1972/73), probably didn’t understand it but the visuals fascinated me. TOS was on reruns all the time so by time I was 12 or 13 I’d probably seen every episode. Most episodes I’d see multiple times.

TAS: The Animated Series played on Saturday Mornings along with saturday morning cartoons (back when that was the only time in the week cartoons were on TV (for the most part)). Caught a few here and there. Interestingly, I’d read the novelizations of the TAS episodes long before I saw them on TV.

TNG: You need to understand, Star Trek was alive and well and strong in Trekkies imanginations (like mine) long before TNG came along. The movies had brought Star Trek into popular culture by a few notches.
My and my friends had been playing ST RPG for years too.
I watched TNG from the very first exciting historical night of the pilot episide airing. And I watched it religiously. Tapped every episode and watched and rewatched them (ask Lady D, she did the same).

DS9: It was neat having a second Star Trek episode on at the same time as TNG. But TNG was the “real” star trek to me (at the time). I watched every episode as they aired, but did not always tape them.

VOY: Interesting, when VOY aired I switched to thinking VOY was the “real” star trek and DS9 just a nice, but secondary show.

ENT: Watched Enterprise from the beginning. Must see TV, but got a little disappointed in aspects of it. Still it was a favorite show for me at the time.
I was probably getting a tad burnt out on Star Trek at the time (as the rest of the culture was).

Anyway, blah, blah…listen to me ramble …stuff I’ve said before no doubt :stuck_out_tongue:

Bashir has no memory of the time his brain was taken over by the currently gone dude, so yeah. “sharing” not so much

Summary execution? And y’all are just OK with that?

good times, TrekFriends. see you next Treksday

I found that a bit… surprising. But I don’t know what legal jurisdiction’s going on their, either. Jadzia looks almost happy when the guy’s vaporized, though

Same Trek time, same Trek channel!

Good night all!
