I don’t know. Trek races don’t really do it for me. Of course, that’s probably because the females are hypersexualized, while the males (assuming we ever see any) are practically eunuchs.

If I had to choose, I’d say Orions. Or some of the more obviously humanoid species, like the Edo or Vaal’s people. I guess I like 'em ignorant and enslaved.

Exactly. He’s a Star Fleet captain, so he can’t be all that uninformed about the casualties of Locutus’ actions. Who could really deal with causing that pain and suffering, even against his will? The fact that he’s not a slobbering mess of a man shows just what an amazingly self-controlled person he is.

In the book it mentioned that Picard was aware of everything the Locutus did, and actually feel like he took part in the decision making process. So in a way, he feels like the actions of Locutus were his own decisions.

Except, of course, they have no concept of “after” and not knowing future events. In reality, our species and theirs could never really communicate.

The Indo-European languages has the concept of linear time baked into the grammar. So yeah… it would be hard.
