Star Trek 3x23 All Our Yesterdays

Love the effect of the planet winking out at the end.

ETA: I bet they changed it in the re-mastered. I know engineers they love to change things!

Damn this is a GREAT episode!!!

Perhaps it’s not that much of a change for humans. Spock certainly wouldn’t think so. :stuck_out_tongue:

Why would she expose her belly-button in a frozen wasteland? That’s just nutty.

I knew I remembered him from somewhere. Gladiator and librarian.

Not a lot of overlap in those professions, I’d imagine.

They did. Actually, the remastered space effects in this episode were just stunning. Somebody was showing off.

I found them here

Vulcans are, in general, vegetarian. Eating meat is part of their violent past that they’ve eschewed since they found logic.

I was thinking more along the lines of eating the native food changing him and causing trouble for them getting back.

Noted. Thanks.

Ah, the Persephone Effect. No, not as such. But that would have been interesting.

Since you (inexplicably) don’t have the remastered versions available, here’s the sun going nova. Note the planet getting blown to rubble instead of just winking out:

yay, libraries! information! data! hehehe

I should posted this in this thread:

Kirk could totally use some sword-fighting help from Sulu

Thanx. Yeah, why don’t I have them? ‘Cause I bought them when they first came out! Thanx Paramount you money-grubbin’ GRRRR!

Anyway, I still love watching the original originals.

the frozen vulcan ears are quite awesome

For the most part, the remastering is pretty much take-it-or-leave-it, but this episode in particular is especially well-done. Somebody loves it, that’s for sure.

oh, that’s who they were calling a witch

That outfit is not at all practical, particularly in their environment.

oh silly one way portals…

“inquisitional” whatever, oh very subtle

If you want to share warmth, sometimes you have to show the goods.

I also read this book. I don’t remember it, but I think I liked the 1st book better.

this ep was definitely spock-a-licious
