Kirk “Frak the Prime Directive. They’re American, that’s all that matters.”
I understand. I just got goosebumps a little…
Amen bruther! Amen!
Everything I learned, I learned from watching Star Trek.
including tumble-roll
Kirk quoting the Preamble of the Constitution always seemed hokey to me. By this point, the United States really didn’t exist any more. It was certainly an important document in the history of democracy, but would a citizen of the Federation really know it by heart?
I give 'em a month.
my thoughts as well.
Lots of people on this planet seem to enjoy it.
I would call it akin to someone of our time period being able to quote the Gettysburg Address word for word. (My grandfather could do that).
And, I, of course, can quote Henry V’s pre-battle of Agincourt speech word for word, but that’s neither here nor there.:o
…and the two-handed back punch
yeah, but that’s Shakespeare! and we know he survives–mass murderers and their crazy daughters perform his work well into the 23rd century. And Data studies the very play you mention
I think those goosebumps might be due to you cross into 4000 post zone.
Contrats! You’re a Quatrotritacle-OG!!
I’d say it would be more on par with George Washington quoting the Magna Carta at length, from memory. Possible, but not likely.
And, I, of course, can quote Henry V’s pre-battle of Agincourt speech word for word, but that’s neither here nor there.:o
Somehow, I imagine the real speech that the real Henry V gave was somewhat less eloquent and a great deal less memorable.
LOL! Maybe you’re right! Thanks!
And…JUMP !!!
[to the other frak]
It is comforting to image that Shakepeare is still classic in the 24 century.
