This script was originally planned for the second pilot. It was put on the shelf for a while and re-tooled. In the earlier draft Spock used “his power” over women to obtain info from a young Omegan female. He brought the girl out of the trance by slapping her.

me too. with the Kohms and the Yangs and crazy Captain whatsisname. Some of the Trekvillains’ motives are less than credible. I do love this one, though
that ice in the boots reminds me of a TNG episode… is it the one where Geordi sees an image of his mother, maybe? Ay my powers of recollection are greatly diminished.
