Star Trek 2x06 The Doomsday Machine

Thot, you are giving me some serious flashbacks. I remember playing the RPG with a person that demanded to play the captain, but the moment there was any stressful situation, the player locked up and couldn’t think. He couldn’t even make a bad decision. (Did I mention that I was in the regular Air Force at the time?)

Good times.

Capt. Carl Sagan?

LOL.
“Lieutenant, there are billions and billions of reasons that I wish you Star Fleet women should go back to wearing the short mini skirts.”

My friend Jon, was our Captain, and, being sort of a natural leader he embraced the role wholeheartedly. He was eventually promoted to Commodore and when they went through the wormwhole he was in command of six vessels.
A fleet of six (or seven) Klingon starships went through the wormhole too, which made for some great fun and action.

[QUOTE=ThotFullGuy;186326]You’ve heard me talk before about how I used to run a Star Trek: Role Play Game (the FASA system).
Thot, you are a GOD!!!

Yes, I’m a god. I’m not THE God. I’m a god. /Ghostbuster’s Reference/

Most RPG Gamemasters/Dungeonmasters like to play god. It comes with the territory.

And I watched this one too…

[li]Who’s that woman in Uhura’s chair?!?!
[/li][li]I can’t tell that ship was attacked Evidently this means I wasn’t made out to be a starship captain. Though in the later shots, well yeah it was attacked. I can see that.
[/li][li]I wonder why everyone else is in their uniforms, but Kirk is just in his (IMO ugly-sorrybarb) green shirt
[/li][li]Bones might not be a psychiatrist or psychologist, but with this other captain, Kirk is sucking. (wait! Doctor not a mechanic! Hehe)
[/li][li]That is one big and ugly robot.
[/li][li]Seat belts! Click it or ticket, Starfleet.
[/li][li]This Spock and Quinto Spock are eerily the same.
[/li][li]So commodores are kind of useless like the admirals?
[/li][li]The security guy Decker is fighting isn’t half bad.
[/li][li]This episode also goes the kirk from shadow to light for big lines bit.
[/li]Scottie’s skills are also fabulous in this one.[/ul]

Excellent episode, though the levity at the end, while typical, seems out of place here.
