Star Trek 2x01 Catspaw

The “Captaaain Kiiirk” thing gave me nightmares as a kid.

Why did I expect to hear the weird sisters say “Double, double, toil and trouble!”

Walter Koening had a wig at this point. He hadn’t yet grown his hair to be Beetle-like.
Part of his purpose on the shown was to please the young Beatles-crazed generation.

it’s a theme

very bad poetry, captain.

James T Kirk obviously wasn’t a lit major. It is TOO important!

Spock’s hair, were it more shaggy… :stuck_out_tongue:

Wow! Bones seems so old!!

I don’t deserve ya.

For some reason this memory wasn’t very memorable to me.
Maybe cuz it wasn’t one of my favs? I dunno.

I always think of this as the Trek Halloween episode

Wow! Young Spock seems so…old!!

That animal has pointed ears!!!

The black cat. Awesome.

That totally made me think of my sister’s cat. Black, and with only one eye. Even more ominously loveable!

an elaborate trick-or-treat. saw that one coming.

Really? It’s been very smooth for me so far. Uncharacteristically so, in fact.

Wery, wery old? Almost awuncular?

Actually, in production order, this was his first appearance.

They were trying to appeal the Monkees-obsessed youth. He was cast specifically for his similarity to Davy Jones.

I was thinking of that cat when we were watching the Buffy Rat episode last week

Love Chekov’s righteous indignation:

I can do it sir! I’m not that green!

I thot Beatles, but you’re prob right.

that kitty is too cute. and now they’re in odd positions hung on a wall. No wonder people write slash fiction about these characters.

Scotty and Sulu have gone bye-bye. What else ya got?

no way, we have zombies too? where are the blood-sucking aliens? lol

I’m sure the eyeshadow didn’t help, either

Hmm, that sounds familiar, my nemesis.

Damn it, Topgun, he’s a doctor, not a muscular New Zealander actor!

Probably one of the reasons I always loved it.

And his teeth seem so… OEM!
