“I’m a fool.”
Spock is very emotional in this episode. First he was annoyed and then frustrated with himself.
Nichelle looks amazing in this episode.
“Captain, I’m frightened.”
That’s just a silly line.
“I was made to offer the past in this manner. I cannot change.”
Insanely complex supercomputer, with only two settings: on and off.
I’m watching the CBS thingy since I figured you were. They just showed frakkin commercials! WTF?!?
Kirk’s stare into the heavens. Very dramatic. Thank you Joseph Pevney.
Isn’t that every computer? 1s and 0s, man. 1s and 0s.
“Scotty, when you think you’ve waited enough…”
Kill the red shirts for food. Procreate with Uhura. Start a nice world for yourselves.
Tell that to Yeoman Thompson.
Spock, don’t shield your ears in shame. Be proud of them things.
Well, double dumb-ass on you!!
“He caught his head in a mechanical…rice-picker.”
CBS has become the bane of my existence. They have Trek so locked down online.
Sure, just go ahead and encourage piracy. Morons.
True enough. Not a very flexible interface, in any case.
It’s a shame that they didn’t bring some whales back with them. It really would have saved a lot of time and effort later.
Um Joan? You’ve got some fuzz about your face.
Oh. So, you’re ahead of me then?
When I was a kid, I couldn’t figure out why Joan Collins was so fuzzy in close-ups. Seeing it on a computer screen (infinitely higher def than our old floor model TV) makes the effect even more noticeable.
They’d have to be rather small ones.
Unless you go by the New Voyages canon which holds that there’s a much larger Guardian on the southern hemisphere.
I think we’re in sync. Joan’s giving her speech.
