Gorns don’t make a reappearance in TOS—but I think we see 'em again in the Animated series(?), and I know we see them in Enterprise.
I never really thot about it that way, but you really do feel as helpless as they do.
It’s also one of the first episodes where even the possibility that Kirk, and by extension, the Federation might actually be in the wrong is pondered. The subtle hint at racism in Kirk’s “natural” revulsion to reptiles was also an amazingly progressive idea for its time: The “hero” has faults. :eek:
Somebody’s gotta put a lojack on Kirk. 2 episodes in a row where he just disappears from the bridge. I know he’s desirable and all, but dayum! Do we ever see Gorn again? Or the shiny happy metron?
I believe the Gorn are mentioned in passing in TNG (not sure on that, though). They appear onscreen again in Enterprise and (I think) in an episode of TAS. The Metron, AFAIK, is never seen nor heard from again.
