I saw it when it first aired during a Star Trek marathon. It had an introduction by Gene Roddenberry. It was black and white in some parts and color in others.
Then when it was released on VHS I got that. And now I have the DVD spooling up.

The TOS DVDs are color, with no GR into (unless that’s a bonus feature.)
okay, Gene’s talking
As the story goes, Roddenberry thought the place was gonna hang him cuz it was so quiet when it was over. He thought they hated it. What he didn’t realize was that they were reading all the credits, looking at who worked on the project.

You’ve got the VHS version. Weird they would put that on Amazon. Maybe its a morph.
I’ve never seen the uncut version of this, just the bits in “The Menagerie”. Everything looks so… odd.

Oh. Let me know when your at the opening credits (starring Jeffrey Hunter). I’ll back up.
Does everyone know why the shirts sleeves are so short throughout the entire series?

Talos group! I think I’m ahead.
Jesus as Captain of the Enterprise. That would have made an interesting Star Trek V. Star Trek V: Jesus comes home.
Shatner’s ego is WAY bigger than Jesuses:)
Saving money on cloth?
Something’s terribly wrong! There’s no Shat on my screen. Who is this stong-chinned dude?
