Can’t we watch Exeter or New Voyages first?!
Whoops! Did 'talos make a boo boo? Thursday night is clear. Are we watching all of Exeter and New Voyages? Do you have a favorite/preference?
Not a booboo, but holy craaaap I’d like to delay the first couple seasons of TNG for a bit.
New Voyages is wildly uneven, but worth checking out. Exeter is much more in the mode of TOS, but they’re still dicking around on their last act (of the second episode.) So, I’d vote New Voyages then Exeter. And possibly Star Wreck as well.
ETA: Also, the non-animated Farragut, which might give us enough time for the new animated Farragut…

Sounds good to me. Like I mentioned, there’s Thursday unless you’re unavailable. I’ve seen all of New Voyages and some of the Farragut / Exeter (as per your recommendation ages ago, I might add). I wonder if anyone will show up this evening.

I remember hearing about “them” making a new Star Trek series when Star Trek: IV was released. I was so excited. When this first aired on September 28, 1987, I was glued to the TV. During Picard’s monologue my heart was racing.
Have to admit, it’s going thump thump right now.

I’m here! As much as I like her later, Deanna Troi really got on my nerves these first few episodes.
Deanna’s hair is soooooo 80s.

yeah, that pained look on her face when she “senses” things in the first few eps is very difficult to watch 
She didn’t bother me. As I’m watching this I’m really getting in touch with my 15-year-old self. I was so naive and innocent. I loved every moment of this.
Yeah, me too. As much crap as this pilot got, I was utterly enthralled. First new Trek of my lifetime! (Not counting the toons I watched as a wee Badger.)
