“It seems you woke… your Tin Man.”

Watch online at YouTube.

Start at :15.

I’ll be honest right now. This is not one of my favorite episode. I don’t know why. Just not my cup of tea, I guess.

I can’t stand that expression, either.

Oh no. Negativity is starting to rear its ugly head.

UGH. Another expression I can’t…

Hmmm, How can I stop this? Oh I know.

Ahhh, much better.

Really? I enjoy it.

I like when Trek explores non-humanoid aliens. It’s a nice change of pace.

Oh good. Should promote some discussion. Kirksmirk

Okay, I’ll begin:

Gomtuu meets Moya. Discuss.

[li]Writers Dennis Russell Bailey, David Bischoff and Lisa Putman White based this episode on a short story titled “Tin Woodman” that Bailey and Bischoff wrote in 1976. It was first published in the December 1976 issue of Amazing Stories, and served as the basis of a novel of the same name published by Doubleday and Co. in 1979. The original story was nominated for a Nebula Award in 1977. (Star Trek: The Next Generation Companion)[/li][li]According to Bailey, the trio were inspired to write a script for the series after watching “Samaritan Snare”, which he considered “the most abysmal piece of Star Trek ever filmed.” (Captains’ Logs: The Unauthorized Complete Trek Voyages)[/li][/ul]

Boom chicka wah wah

My thots exactly. See, we’re agreeing already! :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah. It’s considered by most fans a great episode. Just leaves me kinda meh.

“No he was a patient.”

Dun Dun Dun.

Oh no, crazy person onboard. Quick hide the silverware. UGH!

Ah! It’s the Mayor of Sunnydale!

This guy sensed Picard’s disdain for him and reacted accordingly.

Sounds like what happened with the Minbauri first contact.

“They call it Tin Man.”

It looks like a giant turd in space.

I imagine that First Contact fails miserably far more often than successfully.

Yeah, the design could have been a bit more… well, more.

Tam Elbrun is the first male Betazoid depicted on TNG.

That conversation was like listening to someone talking on Bluetooth.

In case you didn’t catch it. Captain DeSoto from the USS Hood was Riker’s previous Captain. That’s why he made the crack about Riker “getting soft” on the luxury liner.

The Enterprise? A Luxury liner? Grrr.
