“If we resist, we die. If we don’t resist, we die.”
This is the first episode directed by Gabrielle Beaumont and the first episode directed by a woman.
In an early draft of the episode, Brahms was named Navid Daystrom and was intended to be a descendant of Doctor Richard Daystrom from TOS: “The Ultimate Computer”. Unfortunately, the casting department did not realize that this would require a black actress to play the part until after Susan Gibney had been hired. At the suggestion of script coordinator Eric Stillwell, the character was renamed, but the Daystrom tie-in was kept by adding a line that she had graduated from the Daystrom Institute

I don’t know. The writers really don’t like Geordi.
I’m sure he had an alternate program set up for just such an eventuality.
Ah. Riker’s secret p0rn folder. Geordi would have no problem accessing that.
“I did, sir.”
Kiss arse.
“Have you never dreamed of climbing inside the bottle?”
Well, there was that brief time after breaking up with Deanna…
I have those hand-held flashlights.
You know he was thinking that, just didn’t want to say it in front of the rest of the crew.
Why are you at the bar? There is no booze there.
And yet, they tried so hard to fill out his character.
Ah. Riker’s secret p0rn folder. Geordi would have no problem accessing that.
“Computer, access La Forge Masturbatorium Program number 76.”
“But I’m not trying now.”
And slap 'em around. Works in the movies.
Data doesn’t have a USB port?
