and walls, and doors, and chairs…
Which is the mark of a good leader as opposed to a douchebag. Trusting your subordinates to do their jobs. And having the faith that they will.
I really enjoy this interaction between Troi and Picard. It shows that she is a good advisor. Riker runs the personnel but Troi has the captain’s ear.
Gosheven is a Jedi, he has a lightsaber!!
I love this bit about communication. If you’ve ever studied a foreign language, you know exactly what she means.
Nice to see Troi actually being helpful for a change.
“You’ll see that I’m right.”
When you’re on the Sheliak dinner table.
How do you feel about her being helpful?
Ha! Picard Out-Kirked the Sheliak on its own treaty. Sweet
She senses that I am pleased.
For all the good it did him.
The Sheliak vessel is a re-dress on the vessel that gave Kruge the Genesis infomation in Star Trek III.
Yup. Beamed back without so much as a parting gift.
Good thing that space is only two-dimensional, otherwise the Sheliak could just fly around them.
“You have the right.”
The Sheliak sounds pissed.
“I really was willing to stay here and die fighting.”
Well, you still can.
They’re obviously following the Hoth Blockade Theory of Spatial Physics, wherein the only way to evade an enemy in nearly infinite space is to fly directly towards it.
“You enjoyed that.”
“You’re damned right.”
Hello! Robot!
“Do you have any feelings for me?”
“I have no feelings of any kind at all.”
However, I am fully functional and programmed in multiple techniques.
