Spoiler Central

For those of you who simply cannot take it any longer (or, like I, fear that they may not make it to the promised land) - over at The Patriot Resource Center (simply google it) there is the BSG 3/11 “speculation”. Taken in turn from the Ragnar Anchorage site, which I cannot access.

If true, it lays most of it out - right up to the final scene. As the “essay” notes the Ragnar Anchorage material does not provide all the answers (including to some of the “mysteries”), but does pass along a lot of information.

there is an interview with RDM in TV guide in which he states that he has gone over most of the BSG fan forums and has not found one person that has guessed as to how the show will end correctly.

When did that interview occur? Someone may have guessed correctly in the meantime if the usual delay before press-time happened.

Agreed! it also occured to me that RDM could just be putting out mis-information.
There is part of me that wants it to be different than everything we have been able to come up with, and at the same time the “hive-mind” is usually pretty strong.

Yeah - I know. We discussed that yesterday on one of the threads. Just let me say this - unless he means every facet of the ending, it would be IMPOSSIBLE for some of the aspects of the ending not to have been “guessed” (or, heaven forbid, even rationally figured out). And that comment has nothing to do with the referenced spoiler information.

Old Timer, thanks for the heads-up. I usually check The Patriot Resource once a week, I’ll stay away, since I am trying to be spoiler free.

I agree with the posts so far. Realistically, the hive mind has to have figured out a few things. There are only so many possibilities, right?? (I know, I know, what am I saying, we are talking about BSG.)

I would be thrilled if RDM and crew does manage to surprise us at every, single turn. I am already expecting to be left with questions, so I am also okay with being surprised by the few answers we do receive.

Buckle your seat belts, it will certainly be a wild ride.

I thought it might be worth checking the TWOP board to see what they thought was up, and though it’s buzzing with this news, too, someone pointed out that the source doesn’t seem to be a poster at Ragnar Anchorage (I scrolled through the BSG threatds that had posts from the month of March, and none of them had anything close to those speculations) but rather some posters at IMDB, who it’s pretty clear are not dropping spoilers but are just speculating and not labeling it very clearly. These posters make no claims as to having insider information, besides putting the word SPOILERS! in the title of the thread (which, on other boards, people seem to do all the time to get attention), and they’ve been openly speculating, not spoiling, on the show in previous posts.

Plus, these just don’t make sense with the few spoilery bits that we know are in these episodes. If you were 1) lucky enough to see the finale early, and 2) ballsy enough to spoil it, wouldn’t you mention what the frak is up with Tigh and Adama being in a strip club?

There’s no way I’d rather hate the ending of BSG than hate it on my couch feeding my son as he squirms and tries to bat at my glasses and I seethe in silent rage. So even if it were legit, I’d still pass.

And while it does make sense… there are a few holes in it. For example… Not to give anything away… the head-character explanation posted in the spoiler does not cover Romo’s Head Cat. Nor does it cover where Starbuck’s Shiny Viper Came from either… Other parts seem obvious or good guesses. Eh… I guess we’ll know soon.

Well the Ragnar Anchorage/Patriot Resource info - and frankly I cannot tell whether its spoiler or speculative information or both - states
that it is at the strip club that Tigh meets his future/former wife - which we had already figured out, right? It sort of has to be, right?
And while we’re at it, who are/were/will be the frakkin’ Lords of Kobol?

Patriot Resource Center is “backing away” from this stuff via a 3/12 posting.

That’s funny. Did you read the “horrific speculation” that they link to?

Of course - no discipline. It was sort of a moron’s version of the Ragnar’s Anchorage posting.

I don’t want to go over there and read but it wasn’t anything like this, was it?:

I posted that today in the mini-series surprise Frak party. Last time I posted a theory, OT warned me. I hope this one isn’t on their site.

Well, OT, I’m really tempted to go read what they’re saying, but I just can’t. I’ll withstand the 2 more wks of torture trying to figure things out.

Yah, who the hell are they?
