Thing about Marvel Unimate is that they do kill off folks (most of the Xmen, Doctor Strange, etc.), some in pretty gory ways. Not to say they may pull a “Peter Parket clone” thing if there is enough of an uproar.
But for now, Peter Parker is dead
So, uh, would this count as a spoiler?
This is Ultimate tho, right? Does it really count?

No one ever stays dead in comic books. It’s whether he’s back in a few months, or a couple years.

I dunno…the characters mentioned above are still pretty dead, and no plans to bring them back according to Bendis. But we’ll see.
I really liked this issue. Ultimate Spider-man and Ultimate X-men were what got me back into reading comics right after they came out–I even entertained some friends with a dramatic reading of the first few issues of each at a sleepover once–and while I only came back to USM every so often, I always liked it. It was the only Ultimate comic to stay good after Ultimatum, in my opinion. And I really liked Bendis’ rationale of wanting Peter Parker to be someone else’s Uncle Ben.
As an X-men fan, I know that death is cheap in the big two, but I hope that this one sticks, even though (and very much because) it hurt.
Fair enough, though I’d think that Spiderman has been around for too long for him to stay dead forever. While Dr. Strange is a big player in Marvel, he’s not on the same level of a Spiderman or other headliner. Dead Xmen are also easier to stomach because there’s about 100 Xmen. The main players rarely stay dead forever. Even Jean Grey, who’s been pretty good at staying dead, still shows up pretty frequently in flash back/memory sequences.
