Spartacus Finale Poll: Does the House of Batiatus survive season 1?
Speculation only. There’s probably some spoiler-y material out there, so no spoilers, please.
It does seem to be angling in that direction, don’t it. But time and again, Quintus Batiatus has proven to be quite an observant and resourceful foe. But the story of Spartacus is supposed to be about the servile wars or some such; that Roman army general fellow is the primary antagonist, I think, so even if we lose Batiatus, it won’t be a huge blow toward the story (except in so far as we would likely also lose Lucy Lawless 
)

At first, I thought it had nothing to do with the movie except the title and some gladiator stuff. I don’t know the source material well, but I’m starting to think we’ll see a whole new setting for season 2. And I’d hate to lose any of the major characters. Even the ones I (kinda) like. Maybe even some of the ones I love to hate.
Yeah I think the house does survive. They won’t for long but I think Sparty is going to have to put together a plan and I don’t think he can do that this fast. Especially with Roman guards stationed there. And he will have to get Crixis on board, he has the support of the gladiators in general and their respect. So I think s2 will be about making their escape. And killing Asher, and the members of the house will be a long thing not a quickie.

Yea it will survive but there will be no friend ship involved. So i chose other. Batiatus will be the new big bad next season, i reckon.

Predictions:
People get nekkid, bone, and kill. There will be blood. One major character dies, not sure who. I’d like to think all the main characters are safe, but nobody’s safe. I’m really worried about the servant women.
I think the story is headed that way. There is way more story to be told about Spartacus’s conquests. To keep him in the ludus for another season or even half a season would be a shame.
though… i fraking love Batiatus… He’s my new Baltar… I bet Batiatus is Latin for Baltar.
I love all his lines and the way he plots. He’s one awesome character. I’ll miss him, and Asher too… but my favorite character Varro is already dead, so, what the heck, kill 'em all…
Well, I watched the episode today. Holy crap, pure concentrated awesomeness. Season Two can’t come soon enough. Get well soon, Andy Whitfield!
