I love this series. A fabulous representation of Southern Louisiana, and the fantasy element is really fun. Good, easy reads, but the overarching plot and world keeps getting more complex, characters actually grow, etc… I really liked the way the books shifted after Hurricane Katrina. And Eric Northman is sexy in print, not just on True Blood.
Anyone else read the series/latest book? Thoughts?
Just finished book 8 and I am really enjoying them so far. I love Eric Northman and Pam! I think they are my favorite characters besides Sookie. Oh and I love her witch roomate and ‘bob’ the cat. I have never seen the show but I hear that it is different from the books. I agree about the shift after Katrina, it definitely upped the stakes (sorry, no pun intended) in the stories. I’m trying to finish ADWD before moving on the book 9, but I have to admit that I am having a hard time staying away.
