Smallville

It’s official: Smallville’s upcoming two-hour Justice Society-centric “movie” is now an actual movie.

Sources confirm that The CW has jettisoned the separate titles that were initially assigned to each of the two episodes — “Society” and “Legends,” respectively — in favor of the singularly sensational (and far more marketable) Smallville: Absolute Justice.

What’s more, I hear the movie — which marks the debut of Michael Shanks as Hawkman (pictured) — will air as a seamless two-hour event with only one set of credits.

By the way, the air date for Smallville: Absolute Justice was recently changed from Jan. 29 to Feb. 5. Adjust your schedules accordingly.

Well here is a question about lex is he really dead or did they kill a clone? And maybe the real lex has been somewhere else before the clone finding out about Clark ?

Since we foun out Lex was expermenting with cloneing with Lana

They could no more kill Lex than they can kill Clark, Lois, or Lana. In fact, I have a feeling Jimmy will be back somehow. I dunno how they’ll spin it for Lex, but clone is my guess as well.

Chloe is the only real expendable main character they have really.

Did you just say Michael Shanks? Count me in.

i have no idea why they had to resort to killing jimmy… but then again they should have never brought him on the show so prominently anyway.

Well for Chloe I think she is more important mow being watch tower plus she is now a dc properity so we all know in comics death doesn’t mean the end :)as for jimmy we found out it’s now the Jimmy we thought and introduce the little boy. Which I though was a great twist.

from what i’ve heard, this will be the best thing that has ever happened to smallville.

Which is why I think that Chloe will sacrifice herself at the end of the series in order to bring Jimmy back to life.

Can’t wait for these eps or now movie as they call it!
Plus Geoff Johns wrote this and he is a great writer .

Anyone noticing that Clark is more violent or intimidating with Tess than he ever was with Lex? He held her up in the air by her neck two episodes ago. And, he flung her aside like an insect in the last episode. Granted, she had just kidnapped his father and the woman he loves back to back, but still. Lex “took” Lana and all he got was cold stares and a talk down.

I think it’s because Lex never knew his secret. In fact, his secret has never been let out to people that isn’t close to him or that he trust. (head trauma/resurrection trauma related amnesia aside…)

I don’t remember clear since it’s been a while, but I think Clark was very annoyed when Lionel appears to know his secret. But then it was shown that Lionel was a vessel of the Fortress Jor-El.

But, I don’t remember Clark doing anything physical to Lionel?

Actually, I take that back. He may have lifted him once regarding his father or mother. But, just once IIRC. It’s been twice in a row with Tess.

I agree but I think this is showing he is growing into superman since at times superman can go a little savge in the comics like in the mist recent Brainaic story! so I am liking this more agresive side of him .

That’s not how Superman is supposed to be in my mind. He’s supposed to be more cerebral (Kryptonian training) than physical (letting his emotions control him). But, I give him leeway only because Jor-el and Lois were the targets.

Take Superman II for example. Zod had Lois as a hostage, but he managed to draw their attention to him leaving Lois alone without endangering her.

Well I think he is growing into that man but him lifting up Tess shows that he has emotions and when it comes down to it he is really half human with showing his emotions but as he grow he will learn when he can let loose like with doomsday or brainiac or even Zod. But what I like they show he still sees the good in the worst people.

He’s not always so nice.

From Random news:

Made my day even though it’s Valentine’s.

So there was another Smallville thread after all this time? :stuck_out_tongue:

I know I mentioned Rosenbaum’s return in passing in my thread, and there was some conversation about it in the Beacon Frak Party thread too.

I rediscovered it while searching for my Fake Jimmy post. I would have posted this in yours, but I didn’t want to step on your toes.

I don’t remember a link, or people having certainty.

Well, other Smallville threads have been merged into mine before. If I’d known about this thread, I probably would have called the thread something different. Of course, at the time, I was just doing comments by season instead of episode by episode like I do now.
